Sector Councils

The Sector Councils page details Grain Trade Australia's councils that focus on specific grain industry sectors, such as trading, transport, and storage. These councils provide insights, guidance, and recommendations on industry practices, standards, and policies.

Charter of the GTA Sector Councils

This Charter sets out an overview of the functions and responsibilities of the Sector Councils of Grain Trade Australia.

This Sector Council Charter is not an all-inclusive document and should be read as an expression of the principles to be applied for optimising corporate governance and accountability.

Australian Grain Exporters Council

The Australian Grain Exporters Council shall make recommendations to the Board on issues that are of importance and direct impact on exporters of grain from Australia.

This may include issues within the supply chain, trade policy matters, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, and issues of Government policy or practice that may impact the sector.

The council will focus on matters with operational risk and commerical impact.

Domestic Sector Council

The Domestic Sector Council is formed of GTA Members with significant involvement in domestic Grain Consumption and processing.

The Domestic Consumer Sector Council shall make recommendations to the Board on issues that are of importance and direct impact on domestic consumption and processing of grain in Australia. The Council will focus on matters with operational risk and commercial impact. 

This may include a focus on the supply chain, policy matters, grain quality, and issues of Government policy or practice that may impact the sector

AOF Oilseeds Sector Council

The AOF/Oilseed Sector Council is a new Sector Council for GTA that was agreed with AOF under the recently signed and executed MOU between AOF and GTA.  

Until further notice, the current members of the AOF Advisory Group will be the AOF Sector Council. The current Chair of AOF will Chair the AOF Sector Council.
